Quick Organizing Project: Clean Out Your Shower!

Have you ever dreamed of a luxurious bathroom, where every shower feels like a spa experience?

The good news is that you don’t need to do a big, expensive remodel to achieve that. And the even better news is that you can get started right now, and improve your shower experience in 5 steps that take less than 10 minutes!

How?

Clean out your shower!

White marble shower with minimalist products
  1. Pull out everything: the bottles, the razor handles, the scrubby things, the bars of soap. Everything, except a shower caddy if you have one. Give the surfaces and/or caddy a quick wipe down if they’re looking grody.

  2. Sort things into categories: shampoos together, body washes together, etc.

  3. Toss anything that looks yucky or nobody in your household uses.

  4. Put away any duplicates in another storage space. (I love keeping a specific bin or shelf for toiletry back stock, so that you always know when you need to buy more.)

  5. Put everything back in the shower. You should now be left with only the products that the people who shower in this bathroom use on a regular basis. You can organize the product by type, by user, or any other system that makes sense to you.

Done!

Next time you take a shower, notice how different the space feels without all that clutter.

If you’re looking for an aesthetic upgrade, work through your toiletry back stock and next time you purchase, buy from a brand whose product and aesthetic you love. I personally have chosen Kiehl’s products: they’re high quality, the fragrances are either non-existent or subtle, the aesthetic is clean and gender-free, and you can return the bottles for recycling at Kiehl’s stores.

What else do you love about spa-style bathrooms that you can incorporate into a quick and easy organizing project?
