Meet LMW Edits

The LMW Edits Story

Lucy Milligan Wahl created LMW Edits for her friends.

She realized that she could keep up with her brilliant colleagues and classmates because she had a secret weapon: an organized home. She was so used to living with an organized environment that she could spend her time pursuing her career, passion projects, and friendships - instead of dealing with her space.

She also realized that most professional organizing services are targeted at suburban families. Few providers seem to understand the specific needs of driven high achievers living in small urban spaces and trying to grow their careers and families.

She developed her professional organizing philosophy centered on common sense organizing for modern urban living when she founded LMW Edits in 2014, and it has guided her work with her clients ever since.

Lucy Milligan Wahl

Founder

Lucy founded LMW Edits LLC in 2014 to bring common sense organizing solutions to modern urban living.  She believes that an organized home is the foundation of a beautiful life that prioritizes the relationships, activities, and commitments that matter most.

Personally, Lucy is no stranger to organization: she arranged every crayon box she ever owned into rainbow order and has conducted semi-annual closet edits since the age of 14.

Among her friends and family, Lucy is the go-to as a shopping companion and fashion advisor.  She describes her personal style as classic and ladylike with a sense of fun – she never shies away from a bold color, a horizontal stripe, or a bow.

When she’s not organizing Lucy serves on the board of CounterPulse, a performance art incubator in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, and volunteers as a member of the National Ski Patrol at Palisades Tahoe.  Lucy holds an AB from Princeton University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.  She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Andrew, and their rescue pitbull, Pippa.

Leslie Todd

Professional Organizer

I love helping people get organized because...

Life is stressful enough, the spaces in your home shouldn’t add to that! I think that having an organized and functional space is so important to ease and quality of daily life.

My favorite space to organize is...

Closets! They are a (generally) smaller space that can make such a big difference. After many years of city living I have come to appreciate high functioning small spaces and closets are no exception. Your closets can do more than you think and I love the sense of relief that comes with a tidy space.

I'd describe my personal style as...

Soft, bohemian and eclectic. I love color and print, mixing decades and styles, and of course lots and lots of plants.

When I'm not organizing, you'll find me...

Relaxing at home, out to dinner with friends or enjoying a sunny day in Golden Gate Park.

Chanda Dawson

Social Media Manager

Chanda is a social media expert, informed by her ten years of experience and growing up at the dawn of the industry. She believes in amplifying all voices and making space in the virtual world for more beauty, compassion, and organic connection.

Chanda grew up in the beautiful PNW and made the move to The Bay Area over 6 years ago. When she's not working she can be found outdoors, enjoying the foggy San Francisco weather, searching for the rain, cooking a beautiful meal, or cracking silly jokes with her partner.

She believes in finding joy in the small things, the power of a good belly laugh, and the beauty that comes with community, connection, and openness.
