The LMW Philosophy

I believe that an organized home will make your life easier, happier, and much less stressful.

I believe in streamlining, but not necessarily in minimalism.

I believe in a healthy dose of skepticism toward all things that originate on Pinterest.

I believe that organization equals freedom – the time and space to devote yourself to friends, family, and the life experiences that really matter.

I believe in celebrating personal style and a lifelong evolving sense of fashion.

I believe in the importance of the little things: an heirloom ring, the perfect white shirt, a way to store scarves that really works.

I believe that you are worth investing in, and that an organized closet and home are personal investments worth making.

Start with a free consultation!

The first step is simple: contact me!  We’ll arrange an appointment in your home where you can show me your space and we can discuss your needs, goals, and aesthetic for the project.  This initial consultation is always free.

1. The Edit

We’ll then begin working together to organize your space.  The first step is the most important: the edit.  We’ll examine every item, and keep only those things that truly work for you.

2. The Strategy

Next, we’ll analyze your spatial and storage needs, making purchases if necessary.  I’ll make recommendations that are customized for your space and personal style, and calibrated to a price point that is comfortable for you.

3. The Organization

Finally, we’ll organize your space, creating a closet or room that will enable you to present yourself to the world in the way you’ve always wanted to.

Every project is custom, but here are a few ideas to inspire your own organization!

Curate the Closet

It’s so much more rewarding to get dressed when you love and can easily find everything in your closet.  I’ll help you edit your clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories, zeroing in on your aesthetic and highlighting your personal style in a well-organized closet.

Tie the Nook

Moving in with a significant other?  It’s hard enough to combine lives without trying to fit two people’s stuff into a one couple space!  I’ll work with both of you to organize a home that works for each of you separately and the two of you as a couple.

Moving On

Moving is a great time to organize- why bring things you don’t need or want with you?  I can help you with all aspects of the move, from a pre-move edit session to organization of your curated collection in your new space.

Lucy Milligan Wahl

Lucy founded LMW Edits in 2013 to bring a focus on simplicity with style to professional organizing.  Personally, Lucy is no stranger to organization: she arranged every crayon box she ever owned into rainbow order and has conducted semi-annual closet edits since the age of 14.  Professionally, Lucy is an active member of the National Association of Professional Organizers as well as its Bay Area chapter

Among her friends and family, Lucy is the go-to as a shopping companion and fashion advisor.  She describes her personal style as classic and ladylike with a sense of fun – she never shies away from a bold color, a horizontal stripe, or a bow.

When she’s not organizing Lucy serves on the board of CounterPulse and volunteers as a member of the National Ski Patrol at Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows.  Lucy holds an AB from Princeton University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.  She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Andrew, and dog, Petunia.
